Friends of NKC Public Library Host Holiday Tea
The Friends of the North Kansas City Public Library will sponsor the Sixth Annual Holiday Tea at the North Kansas City Public Library on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, from 1- 4 p.m. Everyone is invited to partake in sandwiches, desserts, punch, and hot tea. Music will be provided by the North Kansas City High School orchestra. The Holiday Tea will be located in the lower level meeting room. All ages are welcome, and it is free and open to the public.
In addition, the Library is raffling off 10 assorted gift baskets. The baskets are: Knitting Basket, Cozy Up with a Book and Hot Chocolate, Pampering Basket, Girls Night In, Movie Night for Two, Movie Night for Three, Afternoon Tea, All Aboard the Train, Teen Reads, and Curl Up with a Good Book. They will be on display at the Library, so come by and take a look. In front of each basket is a voting jar, letting you know what's in each basket. They'll make a great gift for you or someone you know.
Raffle tickets are only 50 cents and can be purchased at the main circulation desk in the Library. The drawing will be held Monday, Dec. 7. Proceeds go to the Friends of the North Kansas City Public Library.
Reservations can be made three ways: phone the North Kansas City Public Library at 221-3360; go to www.northkclibrary.org and fill out the reservation form on the Library Events calendar; or e-mail Paula at paulakemper@northkclibrary.org.
