Call of Duty: Black Ops announced, set for November launch + Mozilla working on new Firefox Add-ons Manager
Call of Duty: World at War developer Treyarch has announced that the seventh entry in the long-running shooter series will be named Call of Duty: Black Ops and should hit stores on November 9, 2010. The announcement came ahead of the game's planned revelation on tonight's episode of GameTrailers TV. While no details on actual gameplay were given, there have been rumors of the game being set in different locations during the timeframe of the Vietnam conflict.
Indeed, a pre-order listing on U.K. retailer GAME seems to confirm this: "Now you will witness the birth of the Elite Special Forces and take part in off-the-record missions using unconventional weaponry to get the job done! From Cuba to the Arctic and the jungles of Vietnam, Call of Duty: Black Ops features stunning cinematic graphics and intense gameplay that puts you right at the heart of the action!"
So far only the official website for the game has been unveiled, with a blank page that reads "Coming Soon," a blog post to welcome users, and no other details yet available other than the title's release date.

Mozilla working on new Firefox Add-ons Manager
Mozilla is working on an overhauled Firefox Add-ons Manager that should rollout with v3.7. Rather than opening as a tiny window separate from the rest of the browser, the revamped manager launches as a new tab. In addition to being in the Tools menu, you can also launch the manager by typing "about:addons" in the awesome bar (which inherently means you can create a handy bookmark shortcut).
The tab is home to two panes: one has a sidebar for navigating extensions, themes, plugins and other add-ons, and the other contains a browser, meaning that you can finally find, deploy, and manage add-ons from a single location.
Naturally, since the update isn't finished yet, the end product may have a different look and feel.
