The Oak Park Varsity Cheer Squad worked hard this summer and were rewarded with a 2nd place finish in the 5A Small category at the MCAA Regional Cheer competition. The competition was held July 23 at Lee's Summit North High School.
The team also attended cheer camp at the University of Missouri this summer. They excelled with several squad members recognized with All American Nominations. Heather Offield, Catie Donnelly, and JV member Cleopatra Byas earned All American honors. Zakk Young won “Top All American” at camp, scoring the highest total points. Catie Donnelly also won “Top Gun Tumbling”.
