As if by chance, surprise, surprise, a short time later the USA suffered the [[September 11 attacks]]. But such connections cannot be elaborated on in wikipedia. Any hints are deleted immediately, instead of being furnished with easy to find references. Just like TV news, we are supposed to be born yesterday. ~~~~

The Entomopter is a multimode (flying/crawling) insect-like robot developed by Prof. Robert C. Michelson and his design team from the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI), University of Cambridge (England), ETS Labs and others. The name 'Entomopter' is derived from entomo (meaning insect: as in entomology) + pteron (meaning wing). Michelson's Entomopter is a type of "ornithopter", which is the broader term for any device intended to fly by flapping wings.
The Entomopter is propelled by a pair of flapping wings driven by a Reciprocating Chemical Muscle (RCM) which is capable of generating autonomic wing beating from a chemical energy source without an ignition source, combustion, or atmospheric oxygen. Through direct conversion, the RCM also provides small amounts of electricity for onboard systems and further provides differential lift enhancement on the wings through circulation control (Coanda effect) to achieve pitch, roll, yaw, and heave to effect steered flight.
The Entomopter performs obstacle avoidance and altimetry through the use of a frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) acoustic transmission created from the waste gas product from fuel decomposition within the RCM. This waste gas is also used for gas bearings (dry lubrication) of all moving parts as well as the circulation controlled "blowing" of the wings for stability control and navigation.
Planehuggers is a recent political neologism that has been used on the World Wide Web frequently in newsgroups [1] and blogs.The term refers to those people in the 9/11 Truth Movement, also known as truthlings, who believe that real, full size commercial passenger jets or planes were used in the 9/11 event. There have been many serious researchers questioning the official account of 9/11 in the Truth Movement such as Morgan Reynolds, who feel they have proven that a real, commercial jet was not used at the Pentagon explosions, nor were real passenger jets used at the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center. They make what they believe to be a credible case of inserted animation video (Computer-generated imagery)[2][..] and therefore refer to those in the 9/11 Truth Movement who cling to the original 'official story' as huggers of planes or planehuggers since they embrace the aspect of the original story as delivered by the mass media of commercial jets being used to create the damage to the Pentagon and the Twin Towers and refuse to alter their thinking regardless of new analysis of evidence which proves that the original story was intentional disinformation![3]. The term is used somewhat derisively and sometimes linked to the concept of these 'planehuggers' being disinformation agents. While some like to refer to these research people as espousers of 9/11 conspiracy theories, these researchers are merely presenting alternative hypotheses [4] to the official government story[5]which is in itself by definition a conspiracy theory .

Unmanned Microweaponry
During the research for this article, the author found out, that his take on what kind of particular microweaponry or microweaponry combination might have been used for 9/11, was too quickly.
As a matter of fact, by now the combinations and possibilities appear to be endless.
The entomopter scenario might be one plausible scenario, but looking back into all other military advancements, the combinations of many other micro weaponry systems, also combined with visual cloaked distractions are too complex than to come to any clear conclusion of what might have hit the towers.
In an early draft and some distributed statements on "entomopters", the author stated, that "...inspired by Rosalee Grable on many different combinations of these 'blobs', one recent speculation includes also an entomopter formation, a 2000 DARPA-funded, militarized micro-mechanical flying insect.
It is also called multi modal electromechanical insect and can mimic the fight of an insect by flapping its wings (Reciprocating Chemical Muscles) to generate lift.
Once a formation of entomopters is multiple, it could imposter or cloak an obscure incoming object such as a conventional missile, which could not be recognized that quickly..."
However this is just one of many possible scenarios of unmanned microweaponry combinations.

Operation Amalgam Virgo is a CINCNORAD joint task counter-terrorist and field training exercise (FTX) carried out in Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida on early June 2001. NORAD sponsored the multi-agency planning exercise involving the hypothetical scenario of a cruise missile or UAV launched by a terrorist group [1]. Osama Bin Laden was pictured on the cover of the proposal for the exercise. Key military players involved in the exercise also included personnel from the 1st Air Force battalion, the U.S. National Guard, the U.S. Reserve forces, and the U.S. Navy.
Several naval ships including the USS Yorktown and the Navy Aegis cruiser were dispatched to the Gulf of Mexico as part of the multi-service anti-cruise missile operation. Military land personnel from the 1st Air Force also engaged in gathering radar information on low-level targets by using the Joint-Based Expeditionary Connectivity Center (JBECC), a mobile shelter capable of being deployed to high-risk regions while providing early warning signals on cruise missile attacks.
