Beñat Achiary is active both in traditional basque music as well as free improvisation. He played with improvisers like Peter Kowald, Phil Wachsmann, Kent Carter, Kazue Sawaï, or with French improv-noise-rock trio Etage 34, and released CD's on Auvidis, Silex, Al Sur, Victo, L'empreinte digitale, Vandoeuvre, FMP etc.
