In a unanimous 6-0 decision Monday night, the North Kansas City Schools Board of Education appointed Tammy Henderson to fill an open seat on the board. The position became available in October when Vice President Jan Kauk resigned after accepting a job in Omaha.
A total of seven hopefuls sought the appointment, including Henderson. They were Richard Gist, Lori LeMunyon, Holly Ann Schenk, Maria Sears, Steve Scott and Dixie Youngers.
