Under the auspices of a program run by the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF), network TV shows will be used to promote “service and volunteerism” on behalf of the public as part of a “week-long of television programming on all four leading broadcast networks – ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, and all affiliated broadcast and cable properties as well, and other networks, beginning October 19.”

A new video produced in association with the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI and narrated by former Denver Broncos quarterback John Elway urges people to report suspicious activity that could constitute terrorism, behavior that includes buying gold, owning guns, using a watch or binoculars, donating to charity, and all manner of mundane things.
The eight minute video was produced by the Colorado-based Center for Empowered Living and Learning (CELL) in conjunction with the International Association of Chiefs of Police conference to promote CELL’s $7 million dollar exhibit entitled “Anyone, Anytime, Anywhere: Understanding the Threat of Terrorism,” which is currently on display at the Mizel Museum in Denver, Colorado.
The production was funded by a $30,400 grant from the Department of Homeland Security and made in association with the Colorado Information Analysis Center.
The video wastes no time in advancing the DHS agenda to single out average Americans as the new target of the war on terror, a process that we have exhaustively documented for years through all manner of official reports, from the infamous MIAC document to the DHS “Domestic Extremism Lexicon” memo that equates people who question authority with violent extremism and terrorism.
In every single instance portrayed in the CELL video, the terrorists are either white or black American citizens. As the Denver Westworld blog notes, in John Elway’s world, everything is suspicious and everything is indicative of “a world where average-looking white people want to murder you and everyone around you.”
“Anyone can become a victim of terrorism, any time, anywhere. Together, we can change this. Each of us has a responsibility to protect our community and we can do so by recognizing the signs of terrorism and taking proper action to stop it,” says Elway.
The clip characterizes all manner of mundane activities as potential signs of terrorism, splitting them into eight different categories, and shows other Americans reporting people to the authorities for such behavior.
Under the heading of “funding,” the video shows an image of U.S. Liberty Head gold coins, suggesting that people who buy or handle gold bullion are probable terrorists. In the same montage, an image of a handgun is flashed, implying that gun owners are also under suspicion.Using a watch, a pair of binoculars, or donating to a charity are all potential Al-Qaeda behavior, the video implies.
Do you use e mail or the telephone to find out information about things? You’re probably a terrorist, according to the DHS, which classifies such behavior as “elicitation,” one of the eight signs of terror.
Do you occasionally monitor police radio, as thousands did during the recent G20 protests in Pittsburgh? You’re a terrorist.
Do you notice surveillance cameras or occasionally attempt to watch big brother back? You’re a terrorist.
Petty criminal behavior such as theft and trespassing is also flagged as a sign of terrorism.
“The success of defending our community’s safety depends upon our shared commitment,” says Elway at the end of the clip. “It’s a beautiful day here in Colorado and there can be many more like this with the help of people like you.”
In other words, report your neighbors for everyday activity otherwise you’ll be hit by another 9/11.
As we have continually highlighted, the entire apparatus of the war on terror has been shifted to target the American people. By defining mundane activities as potential terror, those in power want to create a society where everyone feels under suspicion and guilty even if they are a completely law-abiding citizen. Indeed, the implication is that only those who join the tyranny and become informers for the state can feel truly patriotic and avoid the glare of big brother.
As we discussed with the MIAC report and a whole host of others, the federal government apparently has very little concern for any perceived terrorist threat to America coming from the MIddle East or Al-Qaeda cells within the country, and indeed if any such threat existed we are only in more danger, because the feds have been busy training law enforcement and brainwashing the public that law-abiding American citizens who exercise their legal right to purchase firearms, who own gold, who take photographs, donate to charities or who attempt to find out information about things, are potential terrorists who should be grassed up to the authorities without delay.

I wrote yesterday about Glenn Beck’s feature on the violent demonstration by leftists in Pittsburgh (which was covered up by the New York Times and the rest of the left-wing media.) He also reported on the bombing of a radio tower in the State of Washington by the Earth Liberation Front — a left-wing terrorist organization — which went equally unreported. Instead we are treated to a rash of hand-wringings by liberals like Tom Friedman who talk about incitements that could lead to the assassination of President Obama.
Pete Wehner has an excellent blog on this hypocrisy, recalling that a film was actually made by leftists portraying the assassination of President Bush among many other incitements against him by leftists with no — absolutely no — complaints by Friedman and the NY Times. In fact the whole Democratic Party leadership accused Bush of lying to get us into a war and killing young Americans in the process. “Bush lied people died” was the favored leftist chant of the Iraq War, just like “Hey Hey LBJ How Many Kids Did You Kill Today?” was during the Vietnam War. The incitement to assassinate American presidents is the background music of the American left.

“Captialism is evil!” “Our leaders are torturers!” “He BETRAYED us!” Screamed Al Gore one of the inciters — and liars –in chief.
What Wehner is too polite to mention is not only are the armies of the Left fascist in behavior but are in full-throated support of our terrorist enemies (whom they like to pretend are only enemies of apartheid Jews) — Hizbullah and Hamas. Every major leftist organization is in some kind of fraternal alliance with CAIR and the Muslim Students Association who sponsor genocidal speakers on college campuses and organize demonstrations to proclaim the birth of Israel on land confiscated from the Turks as a “catastrophe” and who call for the destruction of the Jewish state. But liberals like Friedman are so filled with venemous hatred of patriotic Americans on the right that the only fascism they can see are Tea Party picnickers on the capitol lawn.

If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church. A liberal wants all the churches to be silenced and all religion removed from public view.

If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for health insurance or may choose a job where the employer provides it. A liberal demands that his neighbors pay for his health care and that the government regulate those who provide it.

WASHINGTON - Because it has abandoned moral absolutes and its historic Christian faith, the U.S. is moving closer to a Nazi-style totalitarianism,warns a former German member of the Hitler Youth in a new book.

"Every day brings this nation closer to a Nazi-style totalitarianabyss," writes Hilmar von Campe, now a U.S. citizen, and author of "Defeating the Totalitarian Lie: A Former Hitler Youth Warns America."

Von Campe has founded the national Institute for Truth and Freedom to fight for a return to constitutional government in the U.S. -- a key, hebelieves, to keeping America free.

"I lived the Nazi nightmare, and, as the old saying goes, 'A man with anexperience is never at the mercy of a man with an argument,'" writes vonCampe. "Everything I write is based on my personal experience in Nazi Germany. There is nothing theoretical about my description of what happens when a nation throws God out of government and society, and Christians become religious bystanders. I don't want to see a repetition. The role of God in human society is the decisive issue for this generation. My writingis part of my life of restitution for the crimes of a godless government, of the evil of which I was a part."

"The main preoccupation of my parents during the Nazi years was tosave us children from Nazi indoctrination," says von Campe. At 10 yearsold, like every other child, he had to enter the Hitler Youth and at 18, hewas conscripted into the army. He was a gunner in a tank in the Yugoslavian theatre fighting the Soviet army, became in 1945 a prisoner of war of the Communist Tito government and in the same year staged a sensational escape crossing seven borders. His reports about the Nazi years and the war are alesson of history as he brings facts unknown to most Americans.

"It took me a long time to understand and define the nature of National Socialism," says von Campe. "And, unfortunately, their philosophy continues to flourish under different labels remaining a menace to America and free human society."

He writes: "The most painful part of defining National Socialism was to recognize my own moral responsibility for the Nazi disaster and their crimes against humanity. It boiled down to accepting the truth that 'as I am, so is my nation,' and realizing that if every German was like me, it was nowonder that the nation became a cesspool of gangsters. This realization is as valid today for any person in any nation as it was then, and it is true for America and every American now."

Von Campe's message is that political freedom and democratic rules alone are not sufficient to govern humanity justly.

"Democratic procedures can be subverted and dishonest politicians are like sand in the gearbox -- abundant, everywhere and destructive," hewrites. "What I see in America today is people painting their cabins while the ship goes down. Today in America we are witnessing a repeat performanceof the tragedy of 1933 when an entire nation let itself be led like a lamb to the Socialist slaughterhouse. This time, the end of freedom is inevitable unless America rises to her mission and destiny."

Von Campe says he sees spiritual parallels among Americans and his childhood Germany. "The silence from our pulpits regarding the moral collapse of American society from within is not very different from the silence that echoed from the pulpits in Germany toward Nazi policies," he explains. "Our familylived through the Nazi years in Germany, an experience typical of millions of Europeans regardless of what side they were on. We paid a high price for the moral perversions of a German government which excluded God and His Commandments from their policies. America must not continue following the same path to destruction, but instead heed the lessons of history and the warning I am giving."

Specifically, von Campe warns Americans their political leaders are on the wrong footing, "denying our cultural and traditional roots based on ourunique Constitution and Christian orientation as a nation. Christians don'tunderstand their mission."

As he recounts the life of a German family before, during, and after the 12 year Nazi rule, Von Campe references historical developments and social trends tying them to his personal story. Von Campe analyzes the totalitarian roots of the national socialist and international socialist/communist ideologies. His frightening conclusion links key facets of Islamic terrorism to both Hitler and socialism.

Looking back on the Nazi regime, he describes why it came about, his own moral responsibility and how his life changed. The Nazi system, like any other totalitarian system, he says, is based on lies. Lies are at the root of the problem in the world. You can't defeat them with money or armies, but only with the truth.

This book asks the crucial question, "what is the role of God insociety?" Von Campe's entire discourse seems to return the reader to this question.

This stunning personal testimony shows what happens when God is thrown out of government and society and when Christians sit back as"religious bystanders." Von Campe compares developments in American society and in the world today with what happened in pre-Nazi Germany and warns America to turn away now from the destructive ideological path we are on.
