Firefox Password Viewer

FirePasswordViewer 2.0 | 6.8MB

FirePasswordViewer is the GUI version of popular FirePassword tool designed to decrypt sign-on secrets stored by Firefox. Firefox records the login details such as username and password for every website authorized by the user and stores them in the sign-on database file in encrypted format.

FirePasswordViewer tool can decrypt and display these secrets on the same lines as the Firefox built-in password manager. The main advantage of FirePasswordViewer is that it does not require Firefox to be running. This is very useful in recovering the sign-on details when Firefox fails to function properly.

Here are the highlights of top features of FirePasswordViewer which makes it stand apart from other similar tools including commercial ones.

* Instantly decrypt and recover stored encrypted passwords from ‘Firefox Sign-on Secret Store’ for all versions of Firefox.
* Supports recovery of passwords from local system as well as remote system. User can specify Firefox profile location from the remote system to recover the passwords.
* It can recover passwords from Firefox secret store even when it is protected with master password. In such case user have to enter the correct master password to successfully decrypt the sign-on passwords.
* Automatically discovers Firefox profile location based on installed version of Firefox.
* Passwords are not shown by default for security reasons as it is sensitive data. However user can toggle this behavior using ‘Show Password’ button.
* On successful recovery operation, username, password along with a corresponding login website is displayed.
* Sort feature to arrange the displayed password list by username, password or website which makes it easy to search through 100’s of entries.
* User can save the recovered Firefox password list to HTML file for transferring to other system or for future use.
* Easy and faster to use with its enhanced user friendly interface.
* Does not require any installation as it is standalone portable tool and can be run directly on any system.

Cracking any Windows XP and windows Vista password

Ophcrack is an open source (GPL licensed) program that cracks Windows passwords by using LM hashes through rainbow tables. The program includes the ability to import the hashes from a variety of formats, including dumping directly from the SAM files of Windows. It is claimed that these tables can crack 99.9% of alphanumeric passwords of up to 14 characters in usually a few minutes.

Rainbow tables for LM hashes of alphanumeric passwords are provided for free by the developers. Larger rainbow tables (for LM hashes of passwords with all printable characters, including symbols and space) are available for purchase from Objectif Sécurité. There is also a Live CD version which automates the retrieval, decryption, and cracking of passwords from a Windows system.

Step 1: Download ophcrack (.iso) from ophcrack. Download the live cd, not the exe.
Step 2: Download UNetbootin from http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/

UNetbootin (Universal Netboot Installer) is a cross-platform utility that can create Live USB systems and can load a variety of system utilities or install various Linux distributions and other operating systems without a CD.

Step 3: Insert the USB flash drive from which you will boot the live OS.
Run UNetbootin, select the 'disk image' radio button and browse to the .iso file.
Select the drive name for the USB drive and click OK.
OR alternatively
You can also use a CD for this purpose. To boot from CD, you do not need Unetbootin.  Just burn the .iso image to the CD.

Step 4: Reboot the system. Press F10 at startup to select the appropriate boot drive or enter BIOS by pressing 'del' and change the boot sequence. If you are stuck up here, please help yourself or wait for us until we post on it.

Step 5: Follow the simple instructions and within seconds it will crack the passwords of all the accounts on the system.

Now if you wish to crack the password of any Windows system, plug in the USB drive or insert the CD and boot from the drive.

Add password to files in Windows without software

For people who are on the lookout for bulky softwares to password protect your files from, maybe, your father or your nosy sis, this technique is for you all. There is no need to download any kinda software. The technique which we'll be implementing is a Windows functionality. Just follow the following steps:

Step 1:
After you have decided on which files to protect, put them all in a single folder. The folder itself can have subfolders as well.

Step 2:
Now right-click the folder and select Send To>Compressed (zipped) Folder. A new .zip archive will be formed.

Step 3:
Now enter the just created zip archive.(If you have WinRar or similar kinda software installed right-click and open select open the file using Open With>Compressed (zipped) Folder)

Step 4:
When you enter the folder click on File and select Add Password...

You should expect the following prompt:

Enter your desired password here and enjoy your privacy..
When you will attempt to open any file from the folder, you will prompted for the password.

Make Firefox More Faster 300% Working

read this and boost ur firefox !!

Step_1: Open Firefox and type about:config in the address bar where you normally type a web address.
Step_2: Then click the button: “I’ll be careful, I promise”.
Step_3: In the filter bar below the address bar type network.http.
Step_4: Double-click on “network.http.pipelining” to change the setting from false to true.
Step_5: Double-click on “network.http.proxy.pipelining” to change the value from false to true.Step_6: Double-click on “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” and change the number to “30″. This means it will make 30 requests at once.
(Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.)
Step_7: Several lines above network.http.proxy.pipelining you’ll see
“network.http.max-persistant-connections-per-proxy” and
“network.http.max-persistant-connections-per-server”.
Double-click each line and change the value to “8″.
Step_8: Two lines up locate and double-click on “network.http.max-connections” and set the value to “48″.
Step_9: Now right-click (control-click on a Mac) anywhere in the configuration (the area where you’ve been making the changes). Select “New” then “Integer”.
Step_10: When prompted, copy and paste or type the following into the field provided: nglayout.initialpaint.delay.
Step_11: When prompted to add a value, enter the number “0″. This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves.
Step_12: Close all windows and tabs. The changes will take effect when you restart Firefox.

These changes allow Firefox to make multiple server connections and will speed up page downloads for better, more efficient use of your broadband connection. If you’re using a broadband connection you’ll load pages MUCH faster now!

How to Surf the Web Anonymously | IP Spoofing

First of all, if you are a noob you would think, why in this world should I spoof my IP. Well it's useful in a number of ways. For example, Rapidshare tracks your IP, so that if you are not a premium member you wont be allowed to download multiple files. But if you use a proxy server which dynamically changes your IP, you can download multiple files through Rapidshare. As another example, you intend to hack an organisational website which is not an easy task, you might need to visit their website quite a number of times, in this case you can spoof your IP to hide your identity. The best way to hide/change your IP while surfing is with the help of Proxy Servers.

What is a Proxy Server?
In computer networks, a proxy server is a server (a computer system or an application program) that acts as an intermediary for requests from clients seeking resources from other servers. A client connects to the proxy server, requesting some service, such as a file, connection, web page, or other resource, available from a different server. The proxy server evaluates the request according to its filtering rules. For example, it may filter traffic by IP address or protocol. If the request is validated by the filter, the proxy provides the resource by connecting to the relevant server and requesting the service on behalf of the client. A proxy server may optionally alter the client's request or the server's response, and sometimes it may serve the request without contacting the specified server. In this case, it 'caches' responses from the remote server, and returns subsequent requests for the same content directly.

Now as a first step in spoofing your IP, you need to find a proxy server. Well proxy servers are of two types- visible and invisible. Visible proxies are known to the web servers and they reveal your IP to the web servers. Invisible proxies do not reveal your identity to the web servers. So finding an invisible proxy is the main task. You can google it. Or if you are way too lazy you noob, we are giving a list of invisible proxies.

How to set a proxy server?

For Mozilla Firefox Users:
Go to Tools>Options>Advanced>Settings
Check the Manual Proxy Configuration Radio Button and enter the appropriate proxy address and port number there

For Internet Explorer users:
Go to Tools>Internet Options>Connections>LAN Settings
Check the Use a proxy server for your LAN check box and enter the address and port number for the proxy server

List of invisible proxy servers:

For all the following proxy servers enter the port number as 3128. All the servers might not be available at a particular time, so try each server.

How to Trace IP Address Location From Email, Gmail, Hotmail, MSN & Yahoo Mail

This Article will explain how you can track your friends IP address. You will need to do some social engineering in this trick. You will need to ask your friend to mail you something or send him some mail to which he will reply.

Now there can be two scenarios. Your friends/victims IP can be static or dynamic.

Scenario 1: Static IP

Static IP is assigned by the ISP to a specific user, that is, you have one unique IP whenever you log on to the internet. In this case, here's how you can find the IP. We will consider three major email services, viz. gmail, yahoo and hotmail.

Gmail:

Open the mail you have recieved from your friend and click on the down arrow to the right of the reply button. Now click on Show Original.
You will get to see the complete headers of the mail from which you have to find the IP from which this mail was sent. Mostly in case of a static IP, the IP is shown as in the figure

Hotmail:

Right click on the recieved mail and select 'view message source'

You will get the complete message with source. This is how the originating IP looks in hotmail

Yahoo:

Open the mail and at the right bottom of the mail, click on 'Full headers'

Again over here you will get to see the IP in the same format as in hotmail and gmail, shown above.

Scenario 2: Dynamic IP

In case of dynamic IP, hotmail and yahoo wont help much. Whereas Gmail shows the private IP of the sender. Just follow the procedure above as shown for static. On the source page you have to look for the following:

Here the IP 10.141.12.9 is the private IP of our victim. This is how you can get IP information of victims behind subnets. Well sometimes the private is not shown by any of the email services because instead of sending detailed email information a DKIM-signature is sent for authentication.

There are other numerous ways using which we can track our victims IP. Will soon be posting on that. Stay subscribed. Till then..

Unable To See Hidden Files

We must have usually faced a problem that we cannot ‘view the hidden files’, even after selecting the option from the Folder Options Menu, and when we go back to check, we see that it has been mysteriously restored to ‘Do Not Show Hidden Files & Folders’.

It happens due to a small bug/virus which edits the Registry to create trouble for us.

Here is how we can solve it :

>> Theoretical Way

Go to Registry Edit

[Start -> Run -> type "regedit"]

Browse to :

“HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ Explorer\Advanced\Folder
\Hidden\SHOWALL”

and set the value of the key “Checked Value” as 1

>> Practical Way

Open notepad,

copy paste the following [between start and stop]:
// START
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ Explorer\Advanced\
Folder\Hidden]

“Text”=”@shell32.dll,-30499″

“ValueName”=”Hidden”

“DefaultValue”=dword:00000002

“HKeyRoot”=dword:80000001

“HelpID”=”shell.hlp#51104″

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\Folder
\Hidden\SHOWALL]

“RegPath”=”Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\ CurrentVersion\\Explorer\\Advanced”

“Text”=”@shell32.dll,-30500″

“Type”=”radio”

“CheckedValue”=dword:00000001

Protect Yourself Against Facebook's New Hacker Path

Facebook had its third alarming bug in as many weeks, when a security researcher showed how a hostile website could obtain your Facebook information via Yelp. The hole is supposedly fixed, but then so were the prior two.

Protect Yourself Against Facebook's New Hacker PathFacebook was vulnerable to hackers who pasted the right malicious code into text forms on Yelp, according to TechCrunch. Yelp is a special Facebook partner, and has unfettered access to certain user data — without user permission — under new, less private policies Facebook rolled out three weeks ago. The local-reviews site is one of a handful of Web properties granted such privileges under Facebook's "Instant Personalization" program.

Once a hacker pasted the right code into Yelp, he could transfer the user's Facebook credentials to his own site and reportedly have access to a user's public Facebook data, including email address, full name — not normally exposed on anonymous Yelp — profile photo, current location, friend list, and networks
Facebook told TechCrunch it closed the security hole, but it's been playing whack-a-mole on security for three weeks, ever since revamping its privacy framework at its "F8" developer's conference: First came a bug exposing user chats, then one that made regular, unauthorized websites look like privileged Facebook apps, which Facebook said was an unfortunate illusion.
The surest way to keep you data safe from Facebook's bugs is to keep it off the social networking site in the first place. But many users have found their lives are intertwined with the site, which can be used to keep in touch with family members, RSVP to parties and share photos.
If you want to keep sharing on Facebook but avoid this specific type of vulnerability in the future, go to your Facebook home page, then select the "Account" menu in the upper-right corner of the page, then select "Privacy settings." Then click "Applications and websites," the third link.

Then scroll to the bottom of the page, to where it says "Instant Personalization Pilot Program," and click "Edit Setting," as shown (click to enlarge):

Protect Yourself Against Facebook's New Hacker Path

Then scroll to the checkbox under the picture and uncheck it, as shown (click to enlarge):

Protect Yourself Against Facebook's New Hacker Path

Then click "Confirm" on the resulting dialog. Doing this will make it harder for some websites to personalize your experience with Facebook data, but it will also lock your Facebook account against further security vulnerabilities on these outside websites, which Facebook does not control:

Protect Yourself Against Facebook's New Hacker Path

Now you'll at least be a bit safer — until the next round of Facebook privacy changes, and the new exploits that shake out from that.

Tip for Saving Passwords in Internet Explorer or Firefox

One topic that is always sure to strike up a nerdy conversation is whether you should let your browser store your passwords. There is the obvious security risk of what happens when someone gets remote access to your computer, or even worse physical access. We’ve seen plenty of utilities that are able to quickly extract anything that isn’t protected by a master password, but the bigger issue is that not all browsers (like IE) even support a master password.

So what do you do? One option, albeit not my personal favorite, is to not have the browser store the password at all. As one of our commenters pointed out there is a good compromise in a situation like this, where you can get the convenience without forfeiting the security. The key is having the browser remember only part of the password, and then you typing in the latter half of it manually. Here’s a better breakdown as to how this works:
  1. Go to a website that requires you to login.
  2. Enter in your username, and then in the password field enter in only part of the characters. For example, only enter 10 out of the 15 characters of your password.
  3. Submit the form, and the website should say the login failed (since you didn’t enter in your full password in the previous step). However, you should have still been prompted by the browser to save the password (like in the screenshot above). Go ahead and save it.
  4. The next time you have the browser autofill in the username and password all you have to do is type in the remaining 5 characters.
A good way to take advantage of something like this is to make the part the browser remembers extremely hard to guess. You should use letters, numbers, and characters for that portion since it’s only the tailend of the password that you actually have to remember. Here’s an example:
My username: RxN7
My full password: c00LRxN7_password
Have the browser save this part: c00LRxN7_
All I have to type in at the end is: password
Unfortunately this solution doesn’t actually work in Chrome since it doesn’t prompt you to save a password until it knows it went through successfully, but it does work just fine in Firefox and Internet Explorer. Since Firefox already supports using a master password I’d say this is less important there, but it’s more useful in IE since your passwords are always up for grabs with very little work.

Bypass Trial Period Expiration

Most of us are familiar with many softwares that run only for a specified period of time in the trial mode. Once the trial period is expired these softwares stop functioning and demand for a purchase. This thread will show you how you can run the software beyond their trial period.

How does this work?

Before I tell you how to hack the software and make it run in the trial mode forever, lets understand how this software works
When these softwares are installed for the first time, they make an entry into the Windows Registry with the details such as Installed Date and Time, installed path etc. After installation every time you run the software, it compares the current system date and time with the installed date and time. So, with this it can make out whether the trial period is expired or not.
So with this being the case, just manually changing the system date to an earlier date will not solve the problem. For this purpose there is a small Tool known as RunAsDate.
RunAsDate is a small utility that allows you to run a program in the date and time that you specify. This utility doesn’t change the current system date, but it only injects the date/time that you specify into the desired application.
RunAsDate intercepts the kernel API calls that returns the current date and time (GetSystemTime, GetLocalTime, GetSystemTimeAsFileTime), and replaces the current date/time with the date/time that you specify. It works with Windows 2000, XP, 2003, Vista and 7. It works with 32 bit and 64 bit versions.

To Run your Software Forever follow these Steps Carefully

You have to follow these tips carefully to successfully hack a software and make it run in it’s trial mode forever.
1. Note down the date and time, when you install the software for the first time.
2. Once the trial period expires, you must always run the software using RunAsDate.
3. After the trial period is expired, do not run the software(program) directly. If you run the software directly even once, this hack may no longer work.
4. To avoid any chances of runnung the software program directly, you can delete its shortcut from the desktop and create a new shortcut using runasdate and place it on the desktop.
5. It is better and safe to inject the date of the last day in the trial period.
For example, if the trial period expires on jan 30 2010, always inject the date as jan 29 2010 in the RunAsDate.

What is Double Password?

Strong PasswordStrong passwords should have a significant length and cannot contain normal words. Only random digits and letters of different case. Such passwords are extremely hard to remember and it takes time to enter. But, even strong passwords have their weaknesses. When you type a password, it can be intercepted by a spy program that logs all your keystrokes. Others can see what you type (even if the password field on the screen is masked, the Password can be read by buttons you hit on your keyboard.)

Until now, the only solution was to buy a secure token. A secure token is a hardware key that is used instead of or in addition to your normal password authentication. There are two main problems with the hardware solution, though. First, it is expensive. And second, you can use them only with software that has built-in support for this method of authentication.

But, from now on, you can turn any USB flash drive into a secure token! No need to purchase an additional expensive device. All you need is about 2 megabytes of free space on your flash drive or other USB gadget, such as an MP3 player, PDA or even a USB-pluggable mobile handset.

How does it work?
Our software, Double Password, installs onto your flash drive. When you type a password, the program intercepts it and converts it into a super-strong password string on-the-fly. You can use simple, easy-to-remember passwords without the risk of being cracked.

Another benefit of using Double Password is that nobody can steal your passwords. Spy programs are useless. Even if someone gets the "weak" password that you type on the keyboard, it means nothing. This password will only work when your USB flash is inserted.

While typical hardware locks will work only with software that supports secure tokens, Double Password works with any software. It simply substitutes your weak password with a strong one.

Double Password can be effectively used to securely lock your Windows account, to protect your laptop and to bring a new level of security to all software that uses password authentication.

how to protect private folder

Do you have any private stuff that you would to hide from your friends and relatives? Would you want it to be Invisible so that it remains unnoticed by the normal users? But there are software which can display all the folders that are present on the Disk. So What if you can even  password protect your folder? I guess having your private folder password protected as well as invisible should be secure enough. But you might think that you may need to have a software for that. Well here is a way to do that without using any additional software and you can show off in front of your friends by making their folders invisible as well as password protected. Here is is step by step procedure to create a password protected folder.

How to create a Password Protected Folder

1. Create a new folder (Right-click -> New -> Folder) and give it any name of your choice. For instance I name it as ABC.
2. Now in this folder place all the important files, documents or any folders that you want to password protect.
3. Now Right-click on this folder (ABC) and select the option Send To -> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
4. Now a new compressed zipped folder gets created next this folder (ABC) with the same name.
5. Double-click on this compressed zipped folder and you should see your original folder (ABC) here.
6. Now goto the File menu and select the option Add a password.
ie: File -> Add a password
Now a small window will pop up and here you can set your desired password. Once the password is set, the folder will ask for the password every time it is opened. Thus you have now created the password protected folder.

How to make it Invisible

1. Now Right-click on this password protected folder and select Properties.
2. At the bottom select the option Hidden and press OK. Now your folder gets invisible (hidden).
3. In order to unhide this folder go to My Computer – >Tools -> Folder options. Switch to View tab, scroll down and under Hidden files and folders you’ll see the following two options
  • Do not show hidden files and folders
  • Show hidden files and folders
Now select the second option and press OK. Now the invisible folder becomes visible in it’s location. To access it you need the password. To make it invisible again repeat step -1 through step-3 and select the first option and click OK. Now the folder becomes invisible once again.

log trick !! make ur Notepad a diary !!

Sometimes we want to insert current data and time, whenever we open the file in the notepad. If you are a lazy person like me, who don’t like to press F5 whenever you open a notepad. Then here is a trick to avoid this. Just add a .LOG in the first line of your text file and close it. Whenever you open the file with that text in the first line in the notepad, it will insert the current date and time at the end of the file. You can start entering your text after that.

WHY?

The reason this happens:

In notepad, any other 4-3-3-5 letter word combo will have the same results. It is all to do with a limitation in Windows. Text files containing Unicode UTF-16-encoded Unicode are supposed to start with a "Byte-Order Mark" (BOM), which is a two-byte flag that tells a reader how the following UTF-16 data is encoded.

1) You are saving to 8-bit Extended ASCII (Look at the Save As / Encoding format)
2) You are reading from 16-bit UNICODE (You guessed it, look at the Save As / Encoding format)
This is why the 18 8-bit characters are being displayed as 9 (obviously not supported by your codepage) 16-bit UNICODE characters

~ cheers ~
