American music band, classified as numetal, by others as hardrock or heavy-metal, or alternative metal. Disturbed was created in 1996 in Chicago by Dan Donegan-guitar, Steve Kmak-bass guitar, and Mike Wengren-percussion. Since beginning the main problem was lack of stable vocalist. Then, David Draiman read the notice in newspaper. Other members enjoyed David's voice and Draiman was accepted. Also he invented tne name of the group, 'Disturbed'. In 1999 band signed the contract, and in 2000 they ublished first disk 'The Sickness'. It fast got a platinum status, bringing many fans, and song 'Down With The Sickness' was placed in soundtrack of the movie 'Queen of the Damned'. In 2002 Disturbed published second, lighter disk, 'Belive', and after three years another, 'Ten Thousand Fists'.
