Few thounsand people wnet to American Navy base in Avondale, in Louisiana, to see christening of new american warship "USS New York". To made this warship used 7,5 ton of steel, wchic was taken from "Zero Site" - place were World Trade Center were destroyed in terrorist attack in 11 September 2001.
Friends and familys of victims of 11 September were in crowd of spectators of christening new battleship in base in Avondale. The ceremony were leaded by wife of Gordon England. In her address she said that the name of ship will be a source of strenght and inspiration for crew.
This is second christening of the ship- it survived Katrina Hurricane wchich almost sunk New Orlean. Ship survived the Hurricane and soon, in next year it will be another ship sailing
through seas and oceans under american flag.
