Recorded in 1975 and 1976 in Spivey's Corner, North Carolina, home of the annual National Hollerin' Contest, Hollerin' is folk music at its most basic. A practice born of the need to communicate over distance, Hollerin' has developed into a distinctive, stylized folk art. Hear the masters of Hollerin' in their natural element. Lots of fun to play loud & on repeat until something extraordinarily violent happens.
