Blind Guardian – my favorite band
There are not too many things to write about, so I decided to write about my favorite band – Blind Guardian. They play epic and power metal songs, but also some nice and slow songs with guitars and slow rhythms, like The Bard’s Song (my favorite song). They have great vocal. Ok, now something about their history and band members.
History
The band was created in 1985 in Krefeld, Germany. The group was first known as Lucifer’s Heritage and for few days as Battery and Raging Waters. Their texts are inspired in mythic fantasy world; the great example is album “Nightfall in Middle-Earth” which is music interpretation of Tolkien’s “Silmarillion”. The turn in band’s history was album “A Night at the Opera” where we could see the unique style of Blind Guardian, with characteristic polyphony and vocal. The main themes of these songs were Arthurian myths, crusades and Trojan war. The last band’s album, “A Twist in the Myth”, is a reversion to basic style, with simpler and rawer music.
