Culinary Arts Students Show Off Their Skills, Win People’s Choice Award

The 34th Anniversary Culinary Showcase was held Sept. 27 at the Downtown Marriott/Muehlebach Hotel. Four students from Northland Career Center and Chef Paul’s Culinary Arts program worked with Mark Prece, executive chef at American Italian Pasta Company, to host an exhibitor table. Students did the booth preparation, cooking and serving at the event. Because of their hard work, the group won the People’s Choice Award for the evening.

Students who assisted with the event were from left, seniors Lauren Dailey and Ajani Nosakhere, North Kansas City High School; Sarah Helton, Smithville High School; and senior Alan Rosko, Winnetonka High School.
