Bright Future Employment Fair
The Bright Future Employment Fair provides part-time and full-time summer employment, internships and pre-apprenticeships for Greater Kansas City residents, minimum age of 16. The fair is from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, April 17 at Kansas City Convention Center, 301 W. 13th St. (Attendance at the employment fair does not guarantee employment.)
To attend the fair you must submit an employment application. You can fill out and submit the application online; print the form, complete and mail it in, or complete and submit the application on site.
You may submit extra attachments such as: resume, letter of recommendation, transcript and/or report card. These can be submitted online with your employment application, or you can mail them to:

Activities in Full Bloom in Gladstone
Looking for something to keep you active this spring and summer? Then check out Gladstone Parks & Recreations! They have activities for athletes, scholars, gardeners and more. Here are just a few of their offerings:
Youth USA Tennis 1-2-3
Gladstone Parks & Recreation is offering a tennis program for children 8 – 13 years of age. Classes are offered for individuals with no previous instruction or experience, and assigned according to age. All participants must provide their own racket and one new can of tennis balls.
Hershey’s Track & Field
The Gladstone Parks & Recreation Department will be hosting the Hershey’s Track & Field Youth Program on Saturday, June 12, at Oak Park High School. The meet will begin at 10 a.m. Participants should check-in by 9:30 a.m. The registration deadline is June 9.
Space Camp
Come join us for a fun-filled, out-of-this-world, week of activities. Participants will go through astronaut training in preparation for living and working on the International Space Station. The camp will be held at the Gladstone Community Center.
Plant Exchange
The Gladstone Parks & Recreation Department and Master Gardener, Beth Houlihan are hosting a Plant Exchange in the large shelter house at Oak Grove Park. Bring your extra perennials to trade with other gardeners and make some new friends in the process.
