RUN NKC Schools 5K Benefits Education Foundation & District PTA Organizations

Sign up now for the RUN NKC Schools 5K scheduled Saturday, May 22, 2010, at North Kansas City High School, 620 E. 23rd Avenue. The event for runners and walkers begins at 9 a.m. at the District Football Stadium, with the course winding through Macken Park and residential areas of North Kansas City.

The 5K will benefit the North Kansas City Schools Education Foundation, which funds learning opportunities that are not available through tax dollars, such as teaching grants and college scholarships. Plus, five dollars of each registration fee will go to the PTA or booster club of the school designated on a participant’s registration form. Organizations at all 30 of the district’s high schools, middle schools and elementary schools are eligible to receive funds.
