Student councils from Lakewood Elementary School and St. Gabriel Catholic School teamed up in February to collect new and gently used books for children at the Bishop Sullivan Center.The cooperative book drive collected 1,518 books for the Bishop Sullivan Center, a nonprofit organization that serves the Kansas City area east of downtown Kansas City.
