Wisconsin Sociology is hurled into coherent modernity with a new webpage. But, it's its boldface headline is:

Welcome to Sociology at Wisconsin.

That period is going to bother me every time I look at it. Why not just omit the period? Or, if one does feel like treating the headline as a sentence, why not use an exclamation point?

Update, soon afterward: One should be sure not to make annoying typos in a message whining about somebody else's punctuation.
