Lakewood Elementary Makes Donation to Assistance League

On March 9, 2011, representatives from the Lakewood Student Council presented donated items to the Kansas City Assistance League located in Gladstone. Student Council members collected donations from Lakewood students and their families including hats, gloves, scarves, and mittens.

At the Assistance League's meeting, Destiny Trail, a Lakewood fifth grader, delivered a speech, explaining the donation drive and information about the school. Other Student Council representatives in attendance were: Ashley Johnson, Jaxon Mehlman, Jessica Lawrence, and Belladonna Damico. Teacher sponsors are Pam Tomes and Lindy Ford.
