Vancouver Whitecaps v. Toronto Fc

It’s hard to say anyone is on form with the Caps not scoring a single goal in the only other game played at their home stadium, an exhibition match versus Colorado Rapids. But if players can’t get up to play the first-ever game for the team as an MLS franchise, then they don't belong there. I would expect a full throttle performance from the Caps. So much so that I worry that the Caps will end up running around and getting out of position.
Toronto FC: Despite the saga of Dwayne De Rosario’s contract situation, he is adamant that when he is on the field nothing else matters and he’ll give 100%. It’s highly likely that De Rosario will move back into his favored role of an attacking central midfielder, which means he will have more time with the ball. He was given limited playing time in the offseason because of the influx of players on trial. The few minutes he did have during preseason his play was above the rest and he was in his usual spirited form.

Another player who had limited minutes for similar reasoning was Maicon Santos. Toronto fans can look forward to De Rosario and Santos linking up well through the middle of the park as well as lively runs down the left flank from newcomer Javier Martina.
