Sri Lanka: 22 rebels and 2 soldiers died

Lankinian army informed on Sunday, that in the newest clashes on north of Sri Lanka died 22 rebels from organization of Tigers-Liberators of Tamillian Islam. In another mortar attack made by tamillian rebels died 2 lankinian soldiers.
The newest fights were done on Saturday in the district of Vavuniya on south of Dgafna, the capitol of dominated by Tamillians province north-east. Due to this fights injured were 25 tamillian rebels and 9 lankinian soldiers. In the near district of Mannar soldiers found themselves under heavy mortar fire. Two soldiers were dead, six were injured. On Friday fights in the same district 23 rebels and 3 soldiers died.
Internal war in Sri Lanka goes on since year 1983. Tamillians fighting for independence are the majority in the north and east part of island – contrary to the Senegal part of country. This conflict has consumed 65 thousands of people.
