Ultima Online (Uo) - computer game of MMORG type, published 30th april 1997 by Origin company. It is one of the oldest gamest of that type. Contest take place in fantasty world known from Ultima series. To november 2006, six additions was published, gradually extending primal game version. Main creator nad 'godfather' of Uo is Richard Gariott, also known as 'Lord British'. Actual owner of Uo is Electronic Arts. Game is served by official network of 29 servers localized in every time-zone. For polish players there are 3 official servers: Europa, Castskills, Drachenfells. Soon after game start-up an illegal emulators were made. The emulatos of Ultima Online give less options than official game servers, but often has more new ideas, new worlds etc. than official world. The monthly fee for Uo is 15 euro. Also, there is a possibility of buying special cards called 'GameTime', wchich works as phone prepaid cards. Now creators works at new version of Ultima Online, called 'Ultima Online: Stygian Abyss'.
