Halo 3

One of the most eagerly anticipated video games of all time, Halo 3 arrives positively creaking under the weight of its own hype. There will be fans – and bemused onlookers – who will posit that Halo 3 can’t possibly live up to the fanfare surrounding it.

Fans will also be pleased to hear that Halo 3 wraps up the trilogy quite neatly. The game really comes into its own in the multi player and online co-op modes, and in a way, the campaign mode is a great way to introduce players to their new arsenal ahead of competing against opponents around the world. Aside from getting to grips with new weapons and new vehicles, players also have access to an array of deployable equipment (such as the Gravity Lift or the Bubble Shield), which offer the more strategically minded an edge in battle.
