SKRA BEŁCHATÓW as a volleyball team was founded in 1957. From the beginning of 90s Skra was gradually promoting. In 1994 it went to 2nd league, in 1997 to the 1st league and 2 years later it promoted to the first-league A series. Unfortunately, the team wasn't there for long and after some time it got down to B series. One year later it came back to the top, where it still exists. It was a big surprise, when that time SKRA won the 3rd place in Polish Championship. In the season 2003/2004 the team located among four the best Polish teams and was the finalist of the Polish Cup, which entitles it to play in European CEV Cup.
In the season 2004/2005 SKRA won Polish Cup and Polish Championship for the first time. One year later SKRA won this two titles once again and promoted to semi-finals of Volleyball Champions League.
SKRA was going up match by match and winning all important cups and prizes. It became the best team in Polish Volleyball League very quickly. Now the coach of the players from Bełchatów is Daniel Castellani from Argentina. In SKRA there play the pest players from few countries and from Polish Team.
In this season of Polish Volleyball League SKRA BEŁCHATÓW is on the first place and I think that it won't give Polish Champion Title to another team.
