Japanese concern Hitachi showed a new prototype of biometric scaner for cars, which can eliminate need of using key in the future. This device identify driver by his uniqe structure of veins in the finger. Using of this scaner have more advantages, you can for example configure it that so the application of each finger means different action. Applicating the forefinger driver can for example start engine, ring finger may be used to identify person and set mirrors and seat, little finger to autorize payments in drive-through
bar or in payment point at highway. Hitachi doesn't say how advanced the works on this technology are and when we can expect such
things in cars , but spokesman said, that the conversasion with car producents are made. Japanese
concern works over this technology for 10 years. 2 years ago company presented the first product using this techology. They were for example biometric lock, which was identifying user in the moment of touching the door handle.
