How to fix broken solar cell in space?

Specialists from NASA are developing plan to repair one of three power cells of
International Space Station (ISS).

Delicate panel teared while positioning on Tuesday evening. Damage deprive station from part of energy. Even worse that the battery can broke more and than it'll be useless. Without energy more modules can't be connected - including european lab Kolumb which gonna be orbited in month. Few days ago astronauts from space shuttle Discovery, which improve station for week, came across breakdown of another solar cell. In moving masc, which is answers for right adjustment of battery to sun, they found pieces of metal. Because specialists from NASA were afraid that these pieces can damage the construction, they told the crew of ISS to block it. Battery works, but it can't follow the sun, so it develops lower amount of energy. This problem must wait though. On Saturday astronauts will go for another cosmic walk and try to repair broken solar cell. Scott Parazynski will do it, American of polish origin. Why he? Not only because of his experience. It's also because of his height, he's almost 1.9m tall, and has long arms reach. Battery is on far end of station. So astronauts will take specialistic lift from their shuttle and they will install it at the top of station's crane used to move cargos. Parazynski will stand on top of this construction. We shouldn't worry
about him. Such maneuvers were made before that.
On Monday Discovery will unmoor from station, and will be back on Earth on Wednesday
