Shop robbery with a pistol from NES

Not so long ago two men in United States were condemned for 10 years for robbery with weapon. I wouldn't be unusual, but they used....a pistol from NES.
Perpetrators of shop robbery, Arthur Swain and Jeremy Goins, are inhabitants of Covington and they have 18 and 20 years. Their loot was, as American police says, almost 100 dollars. District court in Kenton found them guilty of second step banditry and judged for the highest punishment, that is 10 years in prison. Witnesses of this robbery were so terrified of old Nintendo pistol, that they couldn't identify it at the court. Luckily the perpetrators showed their crime instrument. It didn't help them with their judgment though. Jury pronounced that witnesses of this event couldn't realize that this "weapon" was just a toy. Criminals behaved aggressively at the time of robbery which showed their bad intentions.
In whole case the most interesting thing is behavior of witnesses and shop workers. Pistol from NES has its characteristic outlook (screen above)....
